Blackbean Salad Bowl

Who can say no to a crunchy, fresh salad bowl? Bowls are great for socials – and super easy to prep if you're having guests over. I toast the wholewheat tortilla to use as a crunchy base for the ingredients. Enjoy this with a homemade dipping sauce and hot salsa.


Fried beans
1 can of black beans or cook your own
1/2 tsp of ground cumin
Pinch of cayenne pepper
2 tsp crushed garlic
2 tsp of coconut oil
1 tbs of dried mixed herbs
Salt & pepper
Fry the beans and all other ingredients in coconut oil for 10 minutes.
Hot salsa
1 large tomato
1 tbs of extra virgin olive oil
1 tbs of habanero sauce (make sure it's vegan)
1 tbs of apple cider vinegar
Dried of fresh parsley
Other Salad ingredients
Chopped cucumber
Crunchy lettuce/ kale or baby spinach
Homemade dip (vegan mayo and dijon mustard)
Cut wholewheat tortilla into 1/4 and toast
