Blackbean Salad Bowl

Who can say no to a crunchy, fresh salad bowl? Bowls are great for socials – and super easy to prep if you're having guests over. I toast the wholewheat tortilla to use as a crunchy base for the ingredients. Enjoy this with a homemade dipping sauce and hot salsa.




Fried beans

  • 1 can of black beans or cook your own

  • 1/2 tsp of ground cumin

  • Pinch of cayenne pepper

  • 2 tsp crushed garlic

  • 2 tsp of coconut oil

  • 1 tbs of dried mixed herbs

  • Salt & pepper

Fry the beans and all other ingredients in coconut oil for 10 minutes.


Hot salsa

  • 1 large tomato

  • 1 tbs of extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tbs of habanero sauce (make sure it's vegan)

  • 1 tbs of apple cider vinegar

  • Dried of fresh parsley

Other Salad ingredients

  • Chopped cucumber

  • Crunchy lettuce/ kale or baby spinach

  • Homemade dip (vegan mayo and dijon mustard)

  • Cut wholewheat tortilla into 1/4 and toast
